Vanilla Ice to surprise SOS band members on Tuesday
Riviera Beach, FL – (September 11, 2022) – The Sounds of Success Community Marching Band members are in for a big surprise on Tuesday.
Celebrity Rob Van Winkle (aka) "Vanilla Ice" will surprise the kids as they practice for their trip to London in June 2023.
Vanilla Ice wants to encourage the kids to practice hard. He says the community needs to stand behind the band and support them.
"This is a great opportunity for the kids to fulfill their musical dreams, and with the help of our neighbors here in Palm Beach, I think we can get it done," said Vanilla Ice. "It's important to cultivate the next generation of musicians."
SOS launched a raffle to raise money for the trip and other programs. Antoine Miller, Founder and Music Director of the SOS Band, hopes to bring 100 members (ages 5 to 23) and their chaperones to London. SOS is the only community marching band invited from the US to perform at this spectacular global event.
"We plan to represent America in all her beauty in London," said Miller.Raffle tickets are $100 each, and participants stand a chance of winning six prizes. The Grand prize is a BMW 330i. The second prize is a 2023 Hyundai Venue. Other prizes include a VIP luxury yacht trip, golf at the Wellington Golf Club, or an 85-inch TV.
Raffle tickets are now on sale through 5 p.m. ET on December 16, 2022, at the Sounds of Success website: https://soswarriorsraffle.com/.
