Lion Country Safari is a drive-through wildlife park and adventure attraction located in Loxahatchee, west of Wellington. Spanning hundreds of acres, the property combines expansive animal habitats, safari-style roadways, water features, and themed recreational environments that provide productions with visuals rarely found elsewhere in South Florida.

The park’s drive-through preserve features large open enclosures containing giraffes, zebras, rhinoceroses, antelope, ostriches, and other wildlife species within broad grassland settings. Long stretches of winding roadway, fencing systems, cattle guards, and open terrain help create the feeling of an African safari environment while remaining accessible within Palm Beach County. Depending on framing and lens selection, portions of the preserve can read as remote wildlife reserve landscapes with minimal evidence of surrounding development.

Beyond the safari areas, the property includes shaded pedestrian zones, animal encounter spaces, lakes, tropical vegetation, amusement features, and family recreation infrastructure. The mix of controlled wildlife environments and public attractions allows productions to shift between educational, adventure, tourism, and family-oriented visuals within the same location.

Water features throughout the property add reflective surfaces and habitat variety, while observation areas and elevated viewing positions provide opportunities for wider environmental coverage. Service roads, maintenance access, and operational infrastructure also support production logistics more efficiently than remote wildlife locations.

The park’s western Palm Beach County setting contributes open skies, dramatic weather movement, and less visual density than coastal areas, helping productions achieve a more expansive natural feel. Wildlife management and animal safety protocols remain central to all onsite filming activity.
