SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR THE 30th ANNUAL PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (February 5, 2025) – Time is of the essence, but now you’ve got an extra chance!  The submission deadline for the 30th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF) has officially been extended by one week. The new deadline for entries is now set for Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (October 24, 2024)—The Student Showcase of Films (SSOF) will celebrate 30 years in 2025, and you’re invited to a party filled with lights, cameras, and action! 

It’s time to unleash your creativity, as the call for entries is officially open! The competition is free and open to student filmmakers, screenwriters, graphic designers, and digital media artists currently enrolled in any high school or college in Florida.

WINNERS OF THE 29th ANNUAL STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS ANNOUNCED

JUPITER, FL (April 26, 2024) - The 29^th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF), Florida’s largest student film competition and award show, proudly announces this year’s class of winners. The energy in the air was electric, coinciding with this year’s theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Maltz Jupiter Theatre set the stage for the event, where guests arrived in style and walked the red carpet alongside Spot the Robot to a specially curated AI playlist.

FLORIDA STUDENT FILMMAKERS ANNOUNCED AS FINALISTS FOR THE 29TH ANNUAL PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (March 26, 2024) – The Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission is honored to announce the finalists for the 29^th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF). This year, a record-breaking 529 eligible submissions were received from 93 schools across Florida. Our esteemed international panel of 47 judges had a challenging assignment choosing the finalists.
