Ragtops
West Palm Beach
Ragtops Motorcars is a production-ready location and picture car resource uniquely positioned for the Palm Beach County film community. A vintage automobile showroom and event space featuring classic cars, automotive memorabilia, neon, retro décor and two distinct showroom environments. An adaptable location for period, automotive, retro and Americana productions. Curated by lifelong collector Ty Houck, this facility serves as an elite, all-in-one asset for location scouts, production designers, and art directors looking to capture authentic retro Americana, classic automotive style, and vibrant mid-century aesthetics without leaving the local production zone.

Ragtops Motorcars offers a distinctive vintage setting on North Dixie Highway in Lake Worth Beach. The approximately 8,000-square-foot facility combines a showroom of classic automobiles with memorabilia, neon signage and retro décor, creating an environment with built-in visual production value. The collection changes as vehicles are bought and sold, so the appearance of the space can evolve over time.
The facility includes a Tropical Art Deco showroom and a separate Vintage Showroom. The Vintage Showroom can be revealed with a theatrical curtain opening, providing a natural transition between the two environments. The space has also been used for private gatherings and events.
For filmmakers, Ragtops can provide a ready-made automotive environment for scenes involving classic cars, collectors, dealerships, garages, retro businesses, private events or period-inspired settings. The combination of vehicles and surrounding memorabilia provides substantial set dressing without requiring a production to bring in an extensive collection of props.
Ragtops has operated in South Florida since 1980, and founder and owner Ty Houck has built the business around vintage automobiles for more than four decades. The current Lake Worth Beach location continues the company's combination of automobile sales, museum-style display and events.
Scout Note
The cars are only part of the location. A showroom environment, neon, memorabilia, retro décor and theatrical curtain reveal are production assets. The space can provide a finished period or automotive look without bringing in extensive set dressing. Because the vehicle inventory changes, productions should scout close to the shoot date and confirm which automobiles and displays will be available.
