VEVO’S ARTIST OF THE YEAR: GIGI PEREZ

Palm Beach County native and rising musician Gigi Perez has been named Vevo’s DSCVR Artist of the Year, joining the ranks of past honorees such as Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan. To celebrate, Perez partnered with Vevo on an intimate visual short film that spotlights her roots, creative journey, and the inspiration behind her debut album, At the Beach, in Every Life. Titled Back to the Beach, the film features live performances of Fable and Sugar Water filmed on location throughout The Palm Beaches.

Scenes were shot at Village Music Café in Wellington, a meaningful early venue where Perez found mentorship and support, as well as at Lake Worth Beach with a camo from her sister, Bella Perez. With support from the Film and Television Commission, the production came together seamlessly, offering a heartfelt portrait of an artist’s beginnings while showcasing The Palm Beaches as a versatile and production-friendly destination.
