THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY HIGHLIGHTS SUNSHINE STATE’S STARRING ROLE

The Historical Society of Palm Beach County rolls out the red carpet for Sunshine Cinema: Florida in Film, on view Nov. 14, 2024 — May 30, 2026. This landmark exhibition spotlights Florida’s starring role in film history, from Jacksonville’s silent-era studios to Palm Beach County’s appearances in Caddyshack, Donnie Brasco, Empire of the Ants, and Baywatch.

Featuring rare footage, original artifacts, and interactive displays, visitors can explore the evolution of Florida filmmaking through costumes, soundtracks, and cutting-edge technology.
