SuperCar Week Palm Beach January 2017 – Making Tracks

Performance and luxury come together each January in Palm Beach at SuperCar Week. The 7th Annual SuperCar Week is January 7-15th. Their Grand Finale Supercar SuperShow on the West Palm Beach Waterfront, Sunday, January 15th, draws a crowd of over 60,000 spectators and over 600 vehicles. It’s a significant event created by four Palm Beach County residents that have a passion for the art & technology of speed & design. Neil London, Tim Byrd, Tom Clarke and Gina Palmer produce the nine day series of public and VIP events throughout Palm Beach County that all lead up to the Grand Finale event on the new $30,000,000 West Palm Beach Waterfront the second Sunday of January each year.

From their SuperCar HorsePower Show opening day of polo season at the International Polo Club in Wellington and their Race Experience Family Festival at Presenting Sponsor’s Palm Beach International Raceway, the week is filled with daily open to the public and VIP events throughout Palm Beach County in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach Island and West Palm Beach. “Our mission is to make Palm Beach a significant auto enthusiasts and motorsports travel destination.” Say’s Neil London, President and Executive Producer of Supercar Week. Notable VIP events this year are at The TIDELINE Resort, PBIR, EAU Palm Beach, Excell Auto Group, McLaren Palm Beach and the VIP Pavilion on the Waterfront.

“Vehicles come in from all over the country and the state of Florida and although all the major supercar and luxury brands are represented, 90% of the exhibitions are individually owned or car club member’s vehicles.” Said Tom Clarke, Supercar Week, Executive Vice President. “This year we’ll probably have over 75,000 on the waterfront alone and likely over 100,000 spectators for the week.” As their show has grown over the past seven years they realized that part of it’s significance is it’s geographical easy access by highway, rail, air and waterways. “The yachts and superboats that pull up to the waterfront docks are as incredible as the supercars. To see all the families and the faces on the children make it something special,” said Tim Byrd “The Byrdman” celebrity media personality, Sr. Vice President and co-founder of SuperCar Week.

SuperCar Week’s Sunday January 15th, Grand Finale is curated and laid out as a cityscape of vehicles. There’s SuperCar Street on the Waterfront Commons lawn area near the main stage just east of Clematis Street, the Downtown West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District, the ArtCar Village, Muscle Beach, Corvette Court, Viper Blvd, Memory Lane with vintage and classics, Marine Village with Off Shore Powerboats on display and a Green Street area for Electric Vehicles. It’s a huge community event filling up the one mile length of the waterfront with the best of the South Florida car collectors, enthusiasts music and entertainment.

SuperCar Week is making tracks in a big way this year. Palm Beach International Raceway has been a Presenting Sponsor for the past 5 years, and Sebring International Raceway has also been a sponsor for the past 5 years.
