SUBMISSIONS CLOSING SOON FOR THE 29th ANNUAL PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS
Florida's Largest Student Film Competition and Award Show
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (January 25, 2024) – Hurry, hurry! Calling all directors, producers, writers, graphic artists, designers, and digital media artists. Get ready for another world-class film competition where the best of Florida’s up and coming generation of filmmakers and artists will soon be discovered.
For currently enrolled students in any high school or college in Florida, time is running out to get those entries in. The deadline for submissions to the 29th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF) is Monday, February 5, 2024.
Students now have the chance to win even more money, with increased funding from $24,000 to $28,000 in cash and prizes, thanks to some of our generous sponsors.
The SSOF is Florida's largest student film competition and award show, and an elite panel of judges will determine the next round of winners. The two-step submission process requires uploading projects through FilmFreeway and completing the online application. Please visit individual category requirements for more details.
“The SSOF is the foundation of The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission’s education outreach initiative, and we actively engage with faculty and school administrators in guiding student participation. The competition continues to be a legacy-building community event and provides an extraordinary opportunity for Florida students as they begin their journey of becoming future industry professionals," says Michelle Hillery, Commissioner of the Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission.
Submission to the showcase is FREE!
