STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS' ALUM SANTIAGO SALAZAR WINS NATIONAL PRIZE

Santiago Salazar, a standout finalist at the 2024 Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF), achieved national recognition by winning “Best Drama” at the prestigious All American High School Film Festival. His award-winning film, Six Months ‘Til Impact (streaming on YouTube), earned him a $45,000 prize and solidified his status as a rising star in the film industry.

Salazar, a graduate of West Broward High School, previously showcased his talent at SSOF as a finalist in the “Documentary” category with his insightful project, The Incongruent Congruent Outlook of Two Insecure Teenage Boys. Known for his ability to craft compelling narratives, Santiago captivated judges with his innovative and unique perspective.
