Palm Beach County continues to shine as a hub for emerging talent, with local child actress Melodie Rose Romano gaining recognition for her role as “Sofia” in ABC’s R.J. Decker, with scenes filmed on location at the Palm Beach County Courthouse and a private residence.

A rising star from The Palm Beaches, Romano’s performance highlights a natural on-screen presence well beyond her years. Her success reflects the strength of the County’s growing film and television industry, where local productions are creating real opportunities for young performers to gain experience and national exposure.

The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission is proud to support projects that not only drive economic impact, but also elevate homegrown talent. Adding to her momentum, Romano will appear in a supporting role in Netflix’s upcoming film Bad Day, starring opposite Cameron Diaz, further cementing her as one to watch.
