The Palm Beaches joins the global television community in honoring the life of acclaimed journalist and host Burt Wolf, who passed away January 31st at his home in Switzerland. A pioneer of travel and food journalism, Wolf spent more than four decades helping audiences explore the world through history, culture, and everyday experiences.

As creator and host of Travels & Traditions, which aired for 23 seasons on public television stations nationwide, he became one of PBS’s most trusted storytellers, with additional work featured on CNN, ABC, and the Discovery Channel.

In The Palm Beaches, Wolf’s legacy lives on through twelve episodes of Travels & Traditions featured on The Palm Beaches TV and produced by Apex Productions. Through his distinctive narrative approach, he highlighted the area’s heritage, character, and coastal lifestyle, shaping the way audiences discover destinations like Palm Beach County through television.
