MEET YOUR PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS HOST: FRANK LICARI

The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF) is proud to welcome back Frank Licari as host of the 31st Annual award show, celebrating Florida’s next generation of filmmakers. A familiar and beloved presence on the SSOF stage, Licari returns to lead one of the region’s most anticipated creative events. A three-time Emmy-nominated host and award-winning entertainer, producer, writer, musician, and actor, Licari is also known as the host of South Florida PBS’ On the Town in The Palm Beaches with Frank Licari.

His signature blend of humor, musical talent, and high-energy stage presence has made him a longtime favorite among Student Showcase audiences. Each year, Licari brings creativity, comedy, and showmanship to the stage, often kicking off the program with a memorable opening film and performance before guiding audiences through a dynamic celebration of student filmmaking. 

His ability to engage both live and on-screen audiences creates an unforgettable experience for the hundreds of students, educators, families, and industry professionals in attendance. With a career spanning television, film, improv comedy, and live performance, Licari is the perfect emcee for this milestone event, which continues to spotlight and support Florida’s emerging storytellers. This year’s awards show will take place Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. The red carpet begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the live show at 10:30 a.m.
