Local Director Shooting Feature Film At The G-Star School Of The Arts

Local director shooting at the G-Star School of the Arts
to create a feature film “Coupons & Dreams"

LAKE WORTH, FL (April 24, 2017). Award winning writer, director and producer Talina Adamo, of Lake Worth, is shooting at the G-Star School of the Arts and G-Star Studio to create her newest project, “Coupons & Dreams,” a feature film.

The story came about from a dream of producer/actor Kevin Humes. He took the idea to Adamo, who, along with her assistant director John Hamblin, wrote a script based upon Kevin’s dream and began casting South Florida locals.

It follows a young boy whose parents are tragically killed, leaving him and his older siblings to fend for themselves. He finds solace with his imagination and an unforeseen friendship develops with a homeless man who shares his passion for storytelling.

To help with fundraising, a teaser was shot at both G-Star and local restaurant, Howley’s, on March 27, 2017. South Florida actors involved in the teaser were Tommy Pozo, Kevin Humes, Mireya Kilmon, Karen Chimato and Rachel Galvin. Jon Schellenger, known for such films as “Boyfriend Killer,” “Hollow Creek,” and “Shadow Fighter,” among others, came on board as Director of Photography.

Unlike at Howley’s, where the restaurant was used basically as-is, at G-Star a set was built, painted, dressed and filled with props. The set was created with the vision of set designer James Hook who was assisted by a talented team of G-Star students - Haiden Hill, Christian Philips, Garrett Canipe, Robert Fiore and Vincent Bonasara. They also helped with other tasks in pre-production and production. Another G-Star student, Jerry Nuckles, helped with production, as well.

The goal is to release the teaser on social media and show it to potential investors to raise necessary funds for the feature film. The fundraising launch and teaser release date is Saturday, May 20th.

One outlet they will be utilizing to raise funds is the online donation site, Hatchfund. All donations through Hatchfund are tax deductible. This follows a fundraiser event for the teaser, that took place recently in Davie, FL.

The team behind “Coupons & Dreams” is currently working on the website for the project, www.CouponsAndDreamsMovie.com, where you can find all the links to their social media pages and where you can donate, beginning on May 20, 2017, to their Hatchfund campaign.
