Six-Part Series Highlights Salt and Freshwater Fishing Locales in Palm Beach County

West Palm Beach, FL (November 27, 2017) – Hooked on The Palm Beaches, a new lifestyle/fishing series hosted by outdoor enthusiast James Currie is currently airing on Destination America. Destination America is a digital cable and satellite channel owned by Discovery Communications. Original episodes air Sunday mornings at 6:30am ET now through December 17, 2017.

Each 30-minute episode of Hooked on The Palm Beaches features guest guides who highlight the spectacular scenery and the plentiful fishing opportunities that the region offers. Specifically, Palm Beach County has nearly 2,300 miles of shoreline, more than 11,000 miles of waterways and year-round weather ideal for the fishing lifestyle.

This week’s episode, "Super Grouper" takes host Currie, Captain Robert Arrington and researcher Tony Grogan to the Jupiter, FL coast in the pursuit of Goliath Grouper. Airdate: Sunday, November 26 at 6:30am.

"Silver Kings" offers tips and tricks for catching big tarpon off the Palm Beach coast with Captain Tore Turney. Airdate: Sunday, December 3 at 6:30am.

"Big O Bass" features an expedition in pursuit of Florida’s iconic freshwater fish, the largemouth bass with Breezy McMillan while fishing on Lake Okeechobee. Airdate: Sunday, December 10 at 6:30am.

"Yellowtails and Sails" features Captain Greg Bogdan and Tom Twyford, President of the West Palm Beach Fishing Club who take us fishing for multiple species of the coast of West Palm Beach.

Previous episodes of the six-part series explored sword fishing off the Boca Raton coast with RJ Boyle, and peacock bass and clown knife of the coast of Delray Beach with Captain Kevin Cannon.

Episodes will soon be available on The Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council’s channel, The Palm Beaches TV. This 24/7 streaming platform offers a variety of family-friend content and can be seen in participating test hotels and on Roku.

Hooked on The Palm Beaches is produced by local producer Jeff Aderman at AA Video in partnership with The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission. Aderman has been in Palm Beach County for over 30 years and has produced a variety of national content, including Nikon’s Birding Adventures TV series.
