G-Star Student Stars In Hit Nickelodeon TV Show!

Palm Springs, FL (October 3, 2017) – I Am Frankie is a new hit teen comedy TV show on the Nickelodeon Channel.  It is on every weekday night at 7:30 PM.  The storyline is: Frankie, a teenage experimental android, must hide her true identity to avoid being found by an evil tech company and powered down forever.  In other words, Frankie, invented by her scientist mother, is your average teenage robot with super powers who goes to high school but cannot let anyone know she is not human.  Enter character Robbie Turnbull, played by G-Star School of the Arts (www.gstarschool.org) student Jayce Mroz.  The show is touted by Nickelodeon as having the potential to be the biggest hit ever on the Channel.  All the I Am Frankie episodes can be at http://www.nick.com/i-am-frankie/videos/i-am%E2%80%A6a-radio-s1-full-episode/. Jayce was on set for three months as Nickelodeon filmed all 15 episodes at once.  How did he keep up on his education?  “My school, G-Star School of the Arts, helped by sending me my school work every week, and the set teachers helped me when I had questions.  G-Star teachers were very supportive with any changes that needed to be made.  We had to move the set school to a church, a college, a recreation facility, and other locations when we were shooting there.  It was exciting and worked out well.”  Jayce also noted with a smile that his grades went up!  “G-Star is unique in that it is the only arts school in Florida that allows its students time on set to be in a professional production for an extended period of time,” says Greg Hauptner, G-Star’s Founder/CEO. 

Another G-Star student, Noah Forgione, also appears on I Am Frankie in several episodes.  Noah is also a successful actor who played young Roy Disney, Walt Disney’s older brother, in the film Walt Before Mickey that is the story of Walt Disney from his teen years to just before he opened Disneyland.
