FLORIDA TALENT SHINES AT TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL

The Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission (FTC) recently joined Film Florida in sponsoring the Apples & Oranges networking event during the Tribeca Film Festival, part of its mission to market and promote The Palm Beaches as a premier production destination. Director of Operations Alberto Jordat attended both the festival and the reception, celebrating the world premiere of Tina Romero’s Queen of the Dead, produced by Boca Raton native Natalie Metzger. The film’s team was honored at Film Florida’s event and later won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature.

The FTC connected with nearly 100 filmmakers, most with a Florida story they’re working on or hoping to shoot. With free one-stop permitting, personalized location assistance, and a can-do attitude, the FTC team is ready to support productions choosing The Palm Beaches. Events like these are vital for building relationships with both longtime partners and new creatives eager to film in Palm Beach County.
