FLORIDA STUDENT FILMMAKERS ANNOUNCED AS FINALISTS FOR THE 29^TH ANNUAL PALM BEACHES STUDENT SHOWCASE OF FILMS

The judges’ scores are in for Florida's largest student film competition and award show

 

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (March 26, 2024) – The Palm Beach County Film and Television Commission is honored to announce the finalists for the 29^th Annual Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films (SSOF). This year, a record-breaking 529 eligible submissions were received from 93 schools across Florida. Our esteemed international panel of 47 judges had a challenging assignment choosing the finalists.   

Winners will be revealed and over $28,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded during the red carpet, AI themed show on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, Florida. Returning to lead the live stage show is Frank Licari, Emmy-nominated host and award-winning entertainer, producer, writer, musician, and actor. A special guest this year will be Spot – the mobile agile robot, which uses a “cognitive inspection platform” and 16 cameras to scan the world around it.
