FILM FLORIDA QUARTERLY MEETING & GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE ON TOURISM

Film Florida's next Quarterly Meeting will be held in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, August 30th and Monday, August 31st. Film Florida meetings will be held at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina:

Tampa will also be the home of the 48th Annual Florida Governor's Conference on Tourism. The Governor's Conference is hosted by Visit Florida and will be held Monday, August 31st - Wednesday, September 2nd at the Tampa Convention Center directly across the street from our host hotel. In addition to the Quarterly Meetings, Film Florida will participate in the Governor's Conference with a booth and materials to educate tourism stakeholders on our shared marketing and tourism goals for the state of Florida.

The tentative schedule of events is as follows:

Sunday, August 30th

1:00pm - 2:00pm : Industry/Association Council Meeting & Education Council Meeting

2:00pm - 3:00pm : Film Commission Council Meeting

3:00pm - 5:00pm : Legislative Committee Meeting

6:30pm - 8:30pm : Welcome Reception at The Epicurean (Members and Invitation Only)

Monday, August 31st

8am - 9am : Continental Breakfast

9:00am - 12:30pm : Board of Directors Meeting

2:00pm - 3:00pm : Strategic Futures Committee Meeting

3:30pm - 4:00pm : Past Presidents Committee Meeting

6:30pm - 9:00pm : Visit Florida Chairman's Dinner (Film Florida Legends Award Presentation - Pending. See additional costs/info for this event below.)

The cost to register for the Governor's Conference and take part in the Film Florida booth is $1,000 per person. Film Florida growing membership provides a network, a platform and the chance to play an active part in solidifying Florida's position as a major production destination. Pending final details, the Visit Florida Chairman's Dinner will potentially host a Film Florida Legends Award presentation! For those who would like to attend the Chairman's Dinner on Monday, August 31st but are not interested in registering for the entire Governor's Conference, the discounted rate for Film Florida members only is $119 per person. The Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina is located across the street from the Tampa Convention Center. The discounted rate for a standard room is $149/night (plus tax).
