FILM FLASHBACK: A MODERN TWAIN: THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER

In November 2006, The Palm Beaches played host to the film A Modern Twain: The Prince and the Pauper, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse in dual roles of a Hollywood star and a regular kid who swap lives. Over the course of 23 days, local landmarks doubled as red carpet-worthy backdrops and everyday settings.

Docs All American and Crest Theatre in Delray Beach along with CityPlace and Currie Park in West Palm Beach and G-Star School of the Arts campus served as filming locations. Produced by Oak Hill Productions, the story included a fireball explosion and a high-speed boat chase. All the Miami scenes in the storyline were actually shot at Currie Park and Boca Raton Airport was used to capture the take-off scene of a private plane.
