DISNEY’S ESPN AND MARVEL TEAM UP

ESPN Creative Works and The Walt Disney Company joined forces recently to film promotional content for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring Coco Gauff, Diana Taurasi, and Sydney McLaughlin. The promo gives viewers a glimpse into the “switching powers” theme of The Marvels movie. For example, Coco Gauff is seen prepping to serve a tennis ball but turns into a basketball player. Meanwhile, Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin picks up Gauff's racket while Diana Taurasi swaps the basketball court for the track. The production team was able to secure backdrops for this project at Patch Reef Park Tennis Center and the athletic facilities at St. John Paul II Academy in Boca Raton.

The promo continues Disney’s recent theme of female empowerment to grow the film’s audience by appealing to these athletes’ fan base. Watch the promo here.
