FILM FLASHBACK: SMOKEY & THE BANDIT II
The action comedy Smokey and the Bandit II, was written and directed by Hal Needham and featured a star-studded cast including Jackie Gleason, Sally Field, Dom DeLuise, Jerry Reed and Burt Reynolds. The film was mostly shot at locations in northern Palm Beach County, including the Burt Reynolds Ranch in Jupiter where sets were made for the facade of The Gator Motel.
