The Loxahatchee River Historical Society (d.b.a. Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the unique maritime and social history of Jupiter, Florida. The Museum, located on the grounds of the 1860 Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, features exhibits, artifacts, and educational programs that explore the rich cultural heritage of the region. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is open year-round and welcomes visitors of all ages to experience the beauty and history of this iconic landmark. As part of its commitment to environmental stewardship, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum conducts various activities with the oversight and permit of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These activities occur on public lands administered by the BLM within the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, an area of significant ecological and cultural importance.
