Juno Dunes Natural Area Filming Location

Juno Dunes Natural Area is a coastal preserve in Juno Beach defined by elevated dune formations, sandy trails, and native scrub vegetation. Unlike much of South Florida’s flat terrain, the site provides noticeable changes in elevation, allowing for varied camera heights and long, uninterrupted sightlines.

The trail system is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail that winds through dune ridges and open clearings, creating natural pathways for movement and separation from surrounding development. The landscape is characterized by low vegetation, exposed sand, and layered topography, offering a controlled natural environment with minimal visual obstruction.

One of the defining features of the location is its open sky exposure in both directions. To the east, the Atlantic horizon supports clean sunrise compositions, while to the west, unobstructed views allow for strong sunset framing. The combination of elevation and sky visibility creates a rare opportunity in Palm Beach County to capture both ends of the day within a single natural setting.

Elevated dune ridgelines provide the best vantage points for wide shots and horizon framing. East facing clearings are ideal for sunrise, while west facing trails and open areas support sunset compositions. The lack of vertical structures keeps backgrounds clean.
