EDUCATION CORNER: NEWEST STUDENT MEDIA LEADER AT FAU
Florida Atlantic University’s Student Media Advisory Board selected Pete Gordon to be Owl TV’s Station Manager for the new year (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023). Pete joined Owl TV as a volunteer during his freshman year and was later hired to work as a Production Coordinator.

BOCA RATON MUSEUM OF ART FEATURES HOLLYWOOD BACKDROPS
The Boca Raton Museum of Art unveiled its new exhibit, Art of the Hollywood Backdrop, featuring 22 enormous canvases from different classic films. Some are from feature films such as: Singing in the Rain, Hail Caesar, The Sound of Music, and the iconic Mount Rushmore backdrop from North by Northwest to name a few.

DEAN LYON LEADS ANIMATE BOOTCAMP
Dean Lyon, a long-time animation judge for The Palm Beaches Student Showcase of Films, spearheads a new company aimed at providing education and workforce development in animation and visual effects. Animate Bootcamp’s co-founder Dean Lyon, having worked on many different films including The Lord of the Rings, and Avatar franchise, has relocated to New York in order to lead the program.
