For additional information, including what makes this location unique, click the description button below.
Nestled in the historic El Cid Historic District of West Palm Beach along the Intracoastal Waterway, Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens includes the former residence and creative world of sculptor Ann Weaver Norton (1905–1982). The property includes the Norton House, reflecting a modernist-influenced tropical estate style with clean lines, functional design, and integration with the surrounding subtropical landscape, an artist studio, orchid house set on a 2 acre tropical garden filled with rare palms, cycads, and native flora.
Winding pathways lead through dense jungle like vegetation to reveal more than 100 works of art: monumental brick and granite sculptures — some over 20 feet tall placed among garden rooms, lush greenery, and water features. The experience blends the unexpected discovery of outdoor “monoliths” with subtropical ambiance and historic estate charm.
Indoors, the historic house and studio offer elegant interiors with woodwork, coquina pathways and soft natural lighting, ideal for intimate interviews, portraiture, editorial shoots or narrative scenes.
With its combination of art, nature, history and proximity to downtown West Palm Beach, it is a versatile filming location: from contemplative art house pieces and documentary work to lifestyle content, fashion editorials, or atmospheric cinematic sequences set in a subtropical, historic estate environment.
Open to the public Wednesday - Sunday 10a - 4p October through June.
