Take a journey back in time and see true old Hollywood glam with Star Power: Edward Steichen’s Glamour Photography. The 80-image photo retrospective is currently on display at The Flagler Museum and continues through January 2019. In 1923, painter and fine art photographer Edward Stecihen accepted the prestigious position of chief photographer for Condé Nast publications Vogue and Vanity Fair. During his 15 years at the magazines, he photographed celebrities such as Walt Disney, Marlene Dietrich, George Gershwin, Greta Garbo and many more. While Steichen is considered to be one of the most prolific and influential figures in the history of photography, few of his portraits have been exhibited, until now.
