Fam Tour receives hotel biba history

WPB Tour by Trolley

PGA National Resort & Spa
|
In
an all out effort to promote President and
Governor Bush's "Back to Life, Back to
Work" campaign, the FTC, with the help
of community sponsors, hosted the Spirit of
Production Familiarization Tour October
25-26 for South Florida production and
location personnel. It was a tremendous
success. Fifteen entertainment notables
enthusiastically participated. The community
rallied and local businesses and
municipalities greeted and treated the
guests to two days of information, fun, food
and photos! Participants in the tour were
overheard commenting, "I can't wait to
get a project up here." "I had no
idea how much was in the PBC area."
Each guest expressed their sincere gratitude
to the host of new filming locations. They
were impressed with the film friendliness
and openness of the PBC community. The
results of the fam tour have been immediate:
the FTC has already received a lead to host
a music video from one of the participants.
The Tour kicked off with a reception at hotel
biba, WPB and dinner at the Old
Key Lime House, Lantana. PGA National Resort
& Spa treated the guests to a stay
at the resort. Palm Beach Tours &
Transportation provided transportation
and City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill
cooked up a scrumptious lunch for the gang.

CityPlace
Runway for Supermodel
| Supermodel
/ Actress Rebecca
Romijn-Stamos was in
town for a Liz Claiborne
catalog fashion shoot. The
production company for the
project, Lighthouse USA
out of New York, shot at CityPlace,
on Worth Avenue and at the Ritz
Carlton. According to
Alec Sash, Producer at Lighthouse
USA, " Palm Beach
County was chosen for its
lush, affluent landscape and
its accessibility to
everything we needed.
Everyone involved with the
hotel accommodations at the Four
Seasons and the filming
locations was extremely
helpful. On a personal
level, my mother resides in
Boynton Beach and it's
always nice to be close to
mom." Chuck Elderd,
Film Commissioner for Palm
Beach County reports, "
CityPlace is becoming
a very popular location with
location scouts. They
especially like the
contrasting colors and
Venetian architecture." |
