Five Star Productions Grand Slams with Strike Zone By Lucas Shuck, FTC Intern
Five Star Productions recently announced its plans for a new children's television show, Florida Marlins Strike Zone. The show will interview players, give tips from coaches, feature viewer contests and much more. The half hour show will debut in June and air all summer on Fox Sports Network and WAMI.
In addition, the Sports Presentation Division has created an animated entertainment package for the Miami Heat. This fifteen element game day package is designed to inspire fans and motivate the crowd to participate in chants and cheers.
Five Star Productions is one of South Florida's leading independent television production companies, with shows airing in over 70 million homes internationally on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC affiliates. TURNING ON THE INTERNET By Kristen Gray
All Video Network (AVN), located in North Palm Beach, has revolutionized video presentation on the internet. Harvey Turner, who is founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer of AVN, has developed cutting edge streaming video software. It allows images to appear on the computer screen with a comparable look to broadcast television unlike the jumpy visuals of the past.
Streaming video translates videotape into a digital format so that it can be viewed on the internet. The software created by AVN allows this digitized video to adjust to the transfer rate of internet connection, regardless of server. In layman's terms, they use their software so that the video is seen in real time.
AVN also shoots video. Recent projects include the live internet broadcast of the Doral-Ryder Open for PGATour.com., CBS Sportsline and the Atlanta Supershow.

ITV has released a new exciting series call Techno 2100, which deals with amazing technological advancements. "Our Techno 2100 specials explore exciting state of the art developments and future trends in computers, engineering, manufacturing, transportation , and ecology," says Barbara Gula, Corporate Communications Director.
NorthBridge Productions is busy with Family Focus, Today's Sports and TravelLog. This month Northbridge released The Navy-A Great Start, Every Child's Dream, Drive Happy, Explore Hawaii and Digital Cameras for Everyone. These 30-minute programs are designed to educate and entertain.
The 5th Annual Palm Beach Independent Film and Video Festival, formerly the West Palm Beach Independent Film Festival takes place April 22-30, 2000. There will be seminars and screenings of more than 30 short films and videos. The PBIFVF is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing and promoting short works (30 mins and under). They provide talented artists an opportunity to exchange their ideas and expand their grasp of independent filmmaking.

A.C. Lyles, a Florida native has established a new internship program with Paramount Studios in Hollywood exclusively for FSU Film School Students. A.C. Lyles is senior producer at Paramount, where he has served for many years as producer of numerous feature films and as head of publicity and public relations.
Connelly Skis, Inc was in town shooting professional water-skiers at Okeheelee Park for an action packed new advertising campaign.
