Our mission is to generate a positive impact on business, tourism and the economy in
Palm Beach County through the growth of the film, television and digital media industries
by attracting on-location production, educating our workforce and providing
superior service to the visiting and indigenous production communities.
Since 1989, The Palm Beach County Film & Television Commission (FTC) has served as a hub for location and production information within The Palm Beaches, operating on one principal policy:
Our highly qualified and professional staff is dedicated to providing extraordinary service that includes free permits for filming to industry professionals that visit Palm Beach County for production. The FTC envisions The Palm Beaches growing in stature as a production center through its worldwide reputation for first class service, the development of a qualified and diversified workforce, along with enhanced partnerships that support production facilities, industry events and film festivals.
Our goal is to generate a positive impact on tourism and the economy in the Palm Beaches through the growth of the film, television and still photography industries by attracting on location production and providing services to both the visiting and the indigenous production community.
Education is an important element in advancing the local film and television industry. Through an annual contract with the Economic Development Office, the FTC works with Palm Beach County schools to assure that students are receiving up-to-date equipment and instruction. This contract also funds the Student Showcase of Films, an awards program that coincides with the Palm Beach International Film Festival, where Florida student filmmakers are awarded cash prizes and scholarships along with a screening of the winning films as part of the Palm Beach International Film Festival.
The FTC is governed by an active Board of Directors made up of local and national production professionals, members at large and agency representatives; all dedicated to enhancing programs and growing the film, television, digital arts and the still photography industries within Palm Beach County.
